Natal Journal (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you order a personalized journal, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
When you create and purchase a Natal Journal, we collect the following information:
- Name — as you would like it printed on your journal
- Date of birth — used to calculate your natal chart
- Time of birth — if known; a noon chart is used when time is unknown
- Place of birth — city and country used for chart calculation
- Email address — for order confirmation and fulfillment communication
We do not collect passwords, social media accounts, or browsing profiles. Payment card details are handled entirely by Stripe and are never stored on our servers.
How we use your information
Your birth data and contact information are used exclusively to:
- Calculate your personalized natal chart and 365 days of journal content
- Print and fulfill your journal order
- Send order confirmations and shipping updates
- Respond to customer support requests
We do not use your birth data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or build marketing profiles.
Payment processing
All payments are processed securely through Stripe. When you checkout, you are redirected to Stripe’s secure payment page. Natal Journal never sees or stores your full credit card number.
Order fulfillment notifications
When your order is completed, your birth data (name, date, time, place of birth, and email) is transmitted to our fulfillment team via email through Resend. This allows us to generate and ship your personalized journal. Access to this information is limited to personnel involved in order fulfillment.
Data retention
We retain order and birth data only as long as needed to fulfill your order and provide customer support. Once your journal has been delivered and any support period has concluded, we do not maintain ongoing databases of customer birth charts.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at hello@nataljournal.com. We will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
What we don’t do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information
- We do not share birth data with advertisers or data brokers
- We do not use your chart data to train AI models or create derivative products
Cookies and local storage
Our website uses browser local storage to temporarily hold your cart details (name, birth data, and order information) while you complete checkout. This data stays on your device until you complete or clear your order. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Children’s privacy
Natal Journal is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 without parental consent.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of our site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
